Our Chapter Mission
It is our mission to share the joys of flight and aviation related activities, and to help pass those joys on to future generations.
Young Eagles is a national program through the Experimental Aviation Association that provides “fly days,” allowing any youth between the ages of 8 and 17 to receive a free flight in our members’ aircraft.
Twice each year, once in the spring and once in the fall, chapter members organize and support a "Young Eagles Day" at our local airport.
The EAA Chapter 943 Aerospace Fund collaborates with the Nassau County School District by financing selected high school students that have achieved the milestones of solo flight and passing their private pilot written exam. The selected students will be committed to pursuing an aviation career.

FBMA also offers convenient access to Jacksonville, Florida approximately 25 miles to the south.

The Amelia River and a long sweep of salt marshes, looking a bit like mislocated western prairies, act as a moat against the mainland west. Forested dunes anchor the middle, offering haven to bird life.
